2013 State Of The Union Address
Yesterday night at 9:00pm, President Obama gave the 2013 State of the Union address, outlining numerous problems and numerous solutions. His hour long speech started out with a list of the things he and his administration have accomplished since his election, including healing the housing market, creating new jobs, and disbanding the war in the middle east. He then jumped to tax reform and his plans for smarter cuts as opposed to foolish ones. Like a painter, he continued on to touch on every area possible in his allotted time, including creating new jobs, battling climate change, higher education for our children, more affordable college, raising federal minimum wage to $9, bring troops home from the war in Afghanistan, and finally, gun control. All throughout his speech, he weaved the message that Congress is holding back any chance for making things in America better, including immigration and gun control bills.

Atheist Group Believes Tebow ‘Full Of Crap’ With Public Display Of Christianity
To many people, Tim Tebow openly expresses his Christian faith too much. The quarterback for the Denver Broncos is known to pray on the field, praise God in post-game conferences, and maintain his composure when angered or frustrated. An Atheist group recently interjected themselves on the subject of his public displays of Christianity. American Atheists — a New Jersey based group that promotes the separation of church and state — tells CBSDenver.com that the only reason Tebow is popular is because he constantly injects his Christianity among the public. This is not only an attack on the young player, but also on Christianity, and the public display and reflection of this faith.

Hurricane Sandy: New York City Subways Hit with Worst Disaster in 108 Years
![]() | ||
| A surveillance camera captured the PATH station right before it was flooded. |
Hurricane Sandy swept over NYC just the other day, flooding many streets as well as all 10 subway tunnels between Manhattan and Brooklyn. All 10 were underwater during the storm. MTA Chairman Joseph Lhota said the 108-year-old subway system "has never
faced a disaster as devastating as what we experienced last night." The photo above was taken by a surveillance camera right before the PATH station was completely flooded. Authorities say it is not clear how long it will take to repair and return the tunnels to working order since workers will have to inspect every mile of tunnel that was flooded, a daunting several hundred miles. The big question being asked is "With a city build on public transportation, how will it run when its out of commission?". Many people no doubt will have trouble getting to work now that the subways are flooded and power outages plague the city. Hopefully, workers will be able to get the subways back up and running soon.
